Happy Birthday
In case you don't check my blogger profile everyday, the age odometer kicked over one more notch to the big 2-3.
Yes, I'm wishing myself a happy birthday. After all, us atheists don't get a Christmas so our birthdays need to be packed with double the joy.
Thanks for reading the blog and thanks to everyone who gave me a sweet gift or a kind word.
(A special thanks to the Dean for calling in a babysitter to attend my non-existent surprise party)

Heck, I if would have known about a surprise party, I would have shown up. I would have even brought a gift. Maybe a Blink 182 or Avril Lavene C.D. for you.
I remember when I was 23, I thought I knew everything and if I could have broadcast my daily opinions easily on the web, I would have had a web page telling people what was wrong with the world and how I was going to fix it. Luckily for me the "World Wide Web" as we called it back then was just starting and it was difficult to get a web-page or else I would look back a feel pretty silly about my youthful ranting.
Happy Birthday - In all seriousness - I hope today goes great for you

Yossarian,
"I thought I knew everything..."
I guess some things will never change.
Contrary to your opinion, not all progressives "grow up" and join the spineless Democratic party.
But thanks for the birthday wishes, my main man. I'll make sure you personally get invited to any birthday party from now on.

Happy birthday! May the rest of your time on the planet be as rewarding and enlightening as the first 23 years (at least!). Have an awesome day.
